SEND Teaching Assistant

We are looking to find a member of staff who will work closely with our teachers to get to know our children, devoting energy and commitment to each child to help them reach their full potential. We expect our staff to be able to support the educational and additional needs of our children, provide positive behaviour management and be able to support their social and emotional needs through a nurturing approach.

NJC Grade B, Scale Point 2, £9.43 per hour
27.5 hours per week, 8.55am to 3.25pm Monday to Friday
Term time 39 weeks per year
Fixed-term contract for 12 months

Meal Time Assistant

Permanent vacancies have arisen for two Meal Time Assistant (MTA) posts to work for 7.5 hours a week Monday to Friday (11:45am to 1:15pm) to start from Wednesday 8th September 2021. The posts are term time only (38 weeks per year) and will require the ability to support and be part of the lunchtime supervision team.

The salary is NJC Grade A which is £9.25/hour for 38 weeks per year.

The post involves managing the setting up of the eating area at the school in an organised manner, supervising and ensuring the safety of all children during the lunchtime period in the playground. The ideal candidate must be vigilant and possess energy and enthusiasm to create and lead fun playtime sessions at the school. A First Aid qualification is desirable as is the experience of working with children. Knowledge of safeguarding procedures within a primary school environment is essential.
