At Exeter Learning Academy Trust, we are actively seeking to recruit both Members and Trustees from a range of backgrounds to join our Multi Academy Trust of 4 primary schools in the heart of Exeter. We are a values-driven Trust, believing in the right of every child to
have access to an excellent education and stimulating and enjoyable life experiences, regardless of their starting point or background.
Members are the highest tier of governance and are the ‘guardians’ of the Trust’s ethos, values, and mission, holding the Trustees to account. This commitment comprises 2-3 meetings (1-2 hours) per year plus preparation time.
Trustees are responsible for holding the Executive to account for effective delivery, setting the strategic direction for the Trust and overseeing the Trust’s financial performance. This commitment comprises 3-4 meetings (approx. 2 hours each) per term plus preparation time and occasional additional support to activities such as recruitment processes where/if you can.
You do not have to be geographically based near Exeter as there is a remote option for all boards and meetings (although a connection, past or present, to the West Country would be desirable but not essential).
