We are seeking an organised, proactive and approachable Nursery Administrator to join our team. This is a role with real purpose, helping to ensure our nursery runs smoothly while supporting young children and their families at an important stage of their educational journey.

We are looking for someone who:

• enjoys working with and supporting families and children
• is highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities
• communicates clearly, warmly and professionally
• has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in accurate record-keeping
• is confident using IT systems and administrative processes
• can handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
• is proactive, adaptable and able to use their own initiative
• values teamwork and building positive working relationships
• understands the importance of safeguarding and child welfare
• wants to contribute to a welcoming and inclusive nursery community

In this role, you will:

• coordinate nursery admissions, bookings and waiting lists
• support families with enquiries and provide excellent customer service
• maintain accurate pupil records, attendance data and nursery registers
• administer Early Years funding and support parents with funding processes
• prepare invoices, monitor payments and maintain financial records
• help ensure staffing arrangements and operational processes run smoothly
• work closely with nursery staff, school leaders and external agencies
• support compliance with safeguarding, data protection and school procedures
• contribute to a positive, organised and welcoming environment for children and families

The following amendments were made in August 2021 to the determined policy for 2022-23 to comply with the revised School Admissions Code 2021: priority for children adopted from state care outside England was added to oversubscription criterion 1; wording added to reflect that decisions on in-year admissions must be sent to a parent within 15 school days; provision added for Hard to Place children; advice added regarding applications for overseas children.

Consultation for 2023-24 admissions arrangements

Devon County Council is the admissions authority for our schools. We are taking part in the annual consultation on admissions arrangements organised by Devon County Council. This consultation takes place between 1 November 2021 and 7 January 2022 and can be accessed by viewing the policies page on our schools’ and Trust websites.

Please find attached the latest edition of our Trust newsletter. We have had a busy few months with lots going on. During this time the Trust has undertaken a very rigorous and robust recruitment exercise to appoint the Trusts Chief Executive (CEO) and details of the new appointment are included within the letter.

We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Justin Stone who has been our acting CEO for the past two years for all he has done. Justin has worked so hard for the benefit of all our children and been absolutely amazing during this time. He really has gone above and beyond and was instrumental in establishing the Trust and getting us to where we are now and we truly are very grateful.

Ide has been awarded the School Games Gold Mark Award, in recognition of commitment to competition among pupils.

The School is ‘delighted’ with the government-led award, which asked that it fulfil criteria in participation, competition, workforce and clubs.
